This support is made possible thanks to Loterie Nationale, which transfers 100% of its profits to Œuvre. Focusing on five areas — Social, Cultural, Environmental, Sports & Health, and Remembrance & Heritage —Œuvre is committed to building a more united, innovative and sustainable society.

Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte is a public institution operating under the supervision of the Prime Minister. Its governance is overseen by a Board of Directors, which monitors both the operations of Œuvre and Loterie Nationale. The national lottery, created in 1945, was established to fund Œuvre’s philanthropic missions.
All profits generated by Loterie Nationale are transferred to Œuvre Nationale and redistributed to support public-interest projects throughout Luxembourg.

In parallel with this growth, the national lottery paid out €19.5 million in commissions to its network of retail partners, providing direct economic support — particularly beneficial to the hospitality sector.
Loterie Nationale was also awarded its 5th “Responsible Gaming” certification by the European Lotteries association — a distinction reflecting one of the most rigorous standards in the field.
